What is Justice Informed?

Justice Informed Companies and strategies focus on igniting processes, people, and culture that are strategically positioned to change the work of business, philanthropy, and nonprofits to include, empower, and ignite the dynamic, interconnected challenges we all face in the 21st century.

Justice Informed is a social impact consulting firm that employs a dynamic team of organizational and relationship design specialists to “change the face of expertise, while redefining social impact consulting” with innovative clients who aren’t looking for best practices—they are looking for what comes next. Many people are catalyzed in moments of intense change, unrest, or opportunity. We are a team that sees social change and equity as mainstays; this is work that has no end, and we are here to carry our baton with our clients to hand off a better world to the next generation.

We see ourselves as movement keepers of the work of social change, and we utilize our frameworks for cutting-edge DEI practices, community-empowering nonprofit engagement models for collective action, economically and racially equitable philanthropic practices, and industry leading corporate social responsibility.

We don’t believe in cut-and-paste strategies. You won’t find our work on Google, or in a DEI 101 handbook. We spend time deeply learning about each client, their industry, their team, their internal operational model, and their ambitions and concerns about engaging in or even just speaking about doing the work of social change. We work with each client over time to ensure we are informed about them before we ever propose a recommendation or walk them through an implementation model for reimagining their core people, operations, or service model. Justice Informed builds customized, human-centered strategies that increase the positive workplace and community impact of our clients. Justice Informed works with corporations, nonprofits, activism groups, universities, startups, government offices, and philanthropic organizations, and more to improve institutional processes, outcomes, and environments for the 21st century.

Through the provision of full-scale DEI Assessments and Audits, custom-built training programs and retreats for people of all levels of leadership, skillful mediation of workplace conflicts, philanthropic advising, advisory support for teams and individual leaders to address persistent or urgent workplace and community challenges, dynamic speaking engagements, and more, Justice Informed is a premier provider of social impact support to clients such as Northwestern University, Ingredion, Cresset Capital, World Business Chicago, The Alliance of African American CDFI CEOs, BBIF Florida, Grosvenor Capital, Sprout Social, Emerson, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and Feeding America.
